To celebrate a birthday we decided to try The George – just the 2 of us.
When we arrived we inquired whether they had a table outside – and they did. The Sea Bass was delicious as was the Cromer Dressed Crab. Along with a fine chilled bottle of white wine it all went down well. The service was, as you would expect, great and the surroundings – being in the Courtyard – on a lovely summer evening couldn’t be better.
For desserts the sherry trifle was fine, though it was felt that a dash more sherry would have helped it! As for the crème brûlée – or should I say Baileys & milk chocolate crème brûlée – fab! I thought I’d try the crème brûlée because for it is delicious as it is and needs no enhancements and I still believe that is the case but to be fair it was an absolute cracking effort and did taste great.
Overall – a great evening and as you come to expect from such a fine establishment, good food & good service – a perfect evening!
