Tobie Norris – excellent as always

This place oozes character – being so old the stairs aren’t even level!

It’s a great informal place to have decent drink and food. Once more if you like thin pizza bases then you are sure to love it. It’s a great place to come whether there’s just the two of you or a whole group of friends. With all the various rooms you’ll find somewhere pleasant to drink and chat the night away.

One of Stamford’s leading pubs and a winner of the CAMRA Pub of the Year award, the Tobie Norris is named for a family of bell-founders who lived and worked in the building in the 17th century.

The building is over 700 years old and offers seven separate dining areas over three floors, allowing an air of seclusion and privacy in what is nevertheless a busy establishment.

The menu is primarily Italian and the house speciality is the stone-baked pizzas, which are also available to take away.
