The sun came out for the Stamford Floats at the weekend and well done to all the organisers and those that put a lot of hardwork into the floats.

The Stamford Millstream Group have done a great job clearing the millstream – and if you want to help in maintaining the millstream you can find them on Twitter and/or Facebook. It was a lovely day to wander along Melancholy Walk to the Freeman’s Meadows.
Today a bit of history has occurred as we lead up to the 2012 Olympics with the Olympic Torch making it’s way through Stamford. It leaves Tinwell Road and carries on down West Street and ultimately reaching Peterborough by the end of the day.
